“Abba Loves Me” Satan doesn’t want you to realize how powerful and true those words are. He knows that if you allow the truth of those words to become a reality in your life, you will never again be swept away by the onslaught of discouragement. You will never allow those overwhelming feelings of shame, guilt and defeat keep you from knowing how special you are to the Lord of all creation. Satan knows that when God’s children are aware of the sheer magnitude of the love God has for us, nothing he brings can defeat us.

The Phillips New Testament translation records these words of hope in 1 Corinthians 13:7, “[God’s] love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen.”

Don’t fall into the trap that God’s love is like man’s love. It isn’t! Human love is at best incomplete and ever-changing. We do our best but sometimes we fall short and our love simply is not enough.

But hear again the words in 1 Corinthians 13:7 in the Phillips New Testament, “God’s love knows no limit to its endurance…” New King James says “(God’s love) Bears all things…”

Perhaps Satan has tried to convince you that God doesn’t love you. Your circumstances, your situation, your sin is different. God may love you but you’ll not feeling His love. Questions and doubts fill your mind because of where you are in life. Perhaps things are not going the way you planned, there is loss in your life. You’ve lost loved ones, both physically and emotionally, you’ve lost your health, you’ve lost your strength, you’ve lost steady income. So if God loves you, why has life become so difficult?

God’s love for us doesn’t diminish just because life gets hard. He has promised to never leave or forsake us and in the midst of our troubles, God is there to help us, to lead and guide us into our deliverance. Among many scriptures, here is one of them that emphasizes how much God loves us. It’s found in Ephesians 1:4, here’s the Message Translation of that verse.

“Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by His love.” Before the foundation of the world… before He created the heaven and the earth His love had us in mind!

If at this time in your life your situation is very distressing, please know that at this very moment, the God who loves you is reaching out to you. He hears your cry for help and the Rock the Holy Spirit leads us to is Jesus. Whatever your wilderness is today, God loves you so much that He’s carried you and cared for you all along the way. Abandonment and rejection are not in His vocabulary. He has brought you to this place today so He can affirm His love for you! God says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to Myself.” (Jeremiah 31:3, NLT).

So please take a moment and place your hands over your heart. Close your eyes, shutting out all distraction and say these words out loud, “Abba, loves me!” Let your ears hear what your mouth is saying. as you say it again, “Abba, loves me!” Let those three simple words resonate in your spirit as you say it one more time. “Abba, loves me!”

Remember,  ”[God’s] love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen.”
